How it works

Three steps. The second one is where we tell you what's in and what's out.

  1. Tell us what you run: The FreeBSD release, the hardware architectures, and the ports and packages your workload depends on.
  2. We agree the scope: You get a written scope: what we maintain on that release, what we don't, and the service level for fixes and support.
  3. You receive updates: Security fixes and selected errata as quarterly rollups on set dates, with urgent fixes outside the schedule when needed.

What's included

One FreeBSD release

FreeBSD 14 or 15 on x86_64 or arm64, supported for at least five years.

Security fixes, backported

Advisories, high-severity fixes and errata, without behavioral changes.

* Ports and package coverage is agreed and scoped per customer.

Quarterly rollups

Delivered on set dates, online or as offline bundles for air-gapped systems.

Documentation for what you run, and a documented route when you're ready to move.

Built by the people who work in FreeBSD

Klara's engineers work directly in FreeBSD and OpenZFS. The fixes we backport are ones we understand at the source, and where it makes sense we send them upstream too.

LTS for FreeBSD is for teams with long validation cycles, air-gapped or regulated systems, and vendors whose customers expect a documented support arrangement behind the platform. If six-monthly upgrades are creating friction, it's worth a conversation.
